Executive summary
Branded generics are most of what India's pharmacies sell. We ran 25 questions across five categories with live web search, then recorded every organization named and every source cited. The run produced 375 citations from 183 domains.
The drug regulator leads on 24.8 percent, then four pharmacies: Truemeds 21.6, Medkart 20.0, PharmEasy 18.4 and Tata 1mg 17.6. The first medicine brand, Dolo 650, ranks eleventh on 8.0 percent.
Not one of India's ten largest formulations companies has a domain in the top 25 sources. Only two are named anywhere in the report, Dr Reddy's and Torrent, and both are named on the question about product recalls.
