AI answer engines now sit between a buyer and the IT firm they hire. We ran 25 questions across five categories with live web search, then recorded every organisation named and every source cited. The run produced 375 citations from 277 domains.
TCS leads on 24.0 percent, Infosys takes 21.6 and Wipro 12.0. The big three lead only where the question is about picking a company. In the other three categories none of them reaches the top five.
The sourcing is very thin. Those 375 citations came from 277 domains, and the most cited one appears eight times. Aalpha, a small Indian development firm, ranks fourth overall, ahead of HCLTech, on the strength of its blog.
