Executive summary
AI answer engines now shape how Indian families pick a hospital. We ran 25 questions across five hospital and multispecialty care categories with live web search, then recorded every brand named and every source cited. The run produced 375 citations from 211 unique domains.
One brand owns this market. Apollo Hospitals leads on 40.0 percent, more than double Max Healthcare at 19.2 percent, with AIIMS third at 14.4 percent. No earlier report in this series showed a leader that far ahead of the field.
The sources stay scattered even so. Two hundred and eleven domains supplied 375 citations, and the most cited domain appears just 13 times. What stands out is that the top two sources are hospital websites, not comparison sites.
