AI answer engines now stand between an Indian patient and a doctor. We ran 25 questions across five digital health and telemedicine categories with live web search, then recorded every brand named and every source cited. The run produced 375 citations from 195 unique domains.
Two platforms lead and the rest are far back. Apollo 24/7 takes 43.2 percent and Practo 36.0 percent, with the medical regulator NMC third at 27.2 percent. No third commercial platform gets close to either of them.
The split is the finding. Apollo 24/7 and Practo own the questions about booking and buying, while the regulator, the health ID and the free government service own everything about rules, records and access.
