AI answer engines now stand between an Indian merchant and the payment gateway they sign up for. We ran 25 questions across five payment aggregator categories with live web search, then recorded every brand named and every source cited. The run produced 375 citations from 169 domains.
Razorpay leads on 87.2 percent, the highest score in this series by a wide margin. Cashfree follows at 52.8 percent and PayU at 39.2 percent. Razorpay ranks first on 18 of the 25 questions.
The sources are the story. Razorpay's own domain took 59 of the 375 citations, almost 16 percent, and more than twice the next site. A single brand is writing the reference material for its own market.
