The first row is the one to notice. Conductor generates its prompts from buyer personas and a keyword corpus, which is the same move GetXEO makes and the closest any rival here comes to it. Neither vendor publishes enough about how a passage is written to settle the craft row. The structure row is where the two disagree about sequence rather than capability.

How Conductor works

A decade of search data, rebuilt around AI answers.

Conductor describes itself as where enterprises go to win AI search, on a decade of AEO and SEO intelligence. The lineage matters. It acquired a real time site auditing product in 2022 and a European search competitor in 2023. The technical half of the platform is that first acquisition grown up.

Visibility sits inside its Intelligence product. It reports mentions and citations, audience and intent, brand sentiment, competitive market share and AI bot crawling. Two published positions are unusual. It says it collects through official APIs wherever possible rather than scraping. And it refuses to publish AI prompt search volume, on the grounds that reliable data for it does not exist.

Questions come from personas rather than a list. Conductor says it generates synthetic prompts built to mimic a brand's buyer personas and their search intents, drawing on more than ten years of keyword data. The set is steerable: prompt generation is configurable by persona and intent, and tracking can be scoped to chosen brands and regions.

The technical layer runs continuously. More than twenty five page level signals cover semantic HTML, content depth, schema coverage and AI specific robot directives. Log file analysis names which AI bots crawl which pages, and how often. And it detects rendering mismatches, where JavaScript sets a title or a canonical tag that a crawler never executes, so it reads something different from a person.

How GetXEO works

One score across three layers, then the whole set.

GetXEO reads the brand first. It crawls the domain, classifies every URL, and builds a profile every downstream writer reads. It then derives the question universe and curates twenty five queries per pillar, each mapped back to the keyword or question it came from.

Those queries produce one composite score. The dashboard carries AEO, GEO and SEO sub scores, model citation rates and the change since the last scan. AEO polls answer engines, GEO covers AI summarized search and weights paragraph position, and SEO tracks the classic result page alongside AI Overviews.

The output is planned as a group and then produced. Blogs ship as one connected mesh, the visualizer maps that mesh beside keyword clusters and competitor networks, and the calendar sequences refreshes, technical fixes and new posts across twelve weeks. Every block is written to survive being lifted away from its page.

The audit runs against a retrieval rubric. The GEO audit checks entity declarations, Organization schema, semantic HTML and knowledge graph signals, and the fixes arrive as a list a developer can work through.

The two methods are not identical. Conductor derives from personas and a keyword corpus. GetXEO models how a buyer behaves while researching and maps every query back to its origin. Which produces the better set nobody has measured, and we will not claim otherwise. Both start from the same premise, so a reader cannot settle the choice on that link.

Where they diverge is what happens next. Conductor turns a question set into intelligence and a metered run of drafts. GetXEO turns it into a designed mesh. Most B2B buyers now use AI somewhere in the buying process and more than half use it to compare vendors, so how fast a brand can occupy the answers it wants is a real question.

What Conductor does well

Four strengths, and the technical one is deepest here.

Two more are worth naming. A data API, an MCP server, LLM apps inside ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot, and turnkey agents, none of which GetXEO publishes. And ten years of search data behind the platform, which is why the classic search half is not an afterthought here.

What GetXEO does well

Four strengths, and volume is the plainest of them.

Three limits are worth knowing. GetXEO publishes no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or ISO 42001 certification. It publishes no log file analysis, no CMS integration, no API and no MCP endpoint. And it does nothing about earned mentions on sites you do not own.

Where GetXEO has an edge over Conductor

Two links, and neither of them is measurement.

Not the technical monitoring, not the compliance record, not the classic search depth and not the question method, which the two products broadly share. Two things are left.

How much gets written, and where. Both products meter. Conductor meters drafts by the year at sixty, one hundred and eighty and six hundred. GetXEO includes fifty blogs a month, with ten more sold for a hundred dollars. The honest version is narrow. Six hundred against sixty is an order of magnitude, and against one hundred and eighty more than three to one. At the enterprise tier the two published figures are the same. Price the tier you will sign.

When the structure gets decided. Conductor does work here and we should say so: it publishes internal link recommendations on every tier and a topic map that clusters opportunities. What it does page by page after a draft exists, GetXEO specifies as one mesh before anything is written. That is a difference of when rather than whether, and our position is that authority accumulates against a group designed in advance. We hold that as a design judgment rather than a measured finding. Pages carrying figures, quotes and citations get named noticeably more often, though the same work ranks off site brand signals ahead of on page craft, so craft is one lever among several and neither product here owns the off site one.

And one thing that is not an edge. Conductor sees what crawled the site, from its own log files. GetXEO audits what a page declares and hands over fixes. Those are different halves of the delivery question, and Conductor answers the harder one.

GetXEO fits a marketing team whose gap is that the pages have not been written. It suits a buyer who wants the set designed rather than a draft allowance spent.

Conductor fits a large organization with an existing search program, a security review to pass, and engineers who will act on log data. Of the ten products in this plan, it is the one whose first principle most resembles ours. The comparison is better for saying so.

Does Conductor show which AI bots crawl a site?

Yes. Its FAQ states that log file analysis shows exactly which AI bots are crawling which pages and at what frequency, naming ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini among them. That is a record of what actually arrived rather than a test of what is permitted. Why does Conductor refuse to publish AI prompt search volume?

It says reliable volume data for AI prompts does not currently exist, and that figures presented as prompt volume come from a statistically insignificant fraction of searches, often through paid panels. Declining to sell a metric a vendor does not trust is unusual in this category and worth crediting.
